Dominica’s Cabinet has agreed to temporarily eliminate the cost of obtaining birth certificates during ongoing voter confirmation. A press release from the Cabinet Secretariat said the decision was finalized at the meeting held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
It explained that the waiver is effective immediately and will remain in place until October 14, 2026, aligning with the conclusion of the confirmation period.
According to the Office, the initiative is designed to “ensure that citizens can access the necessary documentation to participate fully in the process.”
The release stated that the Government of Dominica is urging citizens who qualify to make use of this period to safeguard their voting rights.
Individuals may request their birth certificates either through the official online platform or by visiting the Registry Division located on Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard in Roseau.
