During the Sony Pictures presentation at the CinemaCon 2026the producer finally broke the silence and presented to the world “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”the fourth installment of the franchise starring Tom Holland. After the legal and emotional void left by “No Way Home,” this new film promises a total reboot for Peter Parker.

After the legal and emotional void left by “No Way Home,” this new film promises a total reboot for Peter Parker.
The big surprise of the night was the revelation of two pieces of art that define the tone of this new stage:
- Confrontation with The Hand: The first poster confirms the rumors of a “street-level” plot. In it, we see a Spider-Man in his homemade suit fighting ninjas on the rooftops of New York, suggesting a direct connection to the world of “Daredevil: Born Again.”

- The reunion with MJ: The second poster is purely emotional. It shows a close-up of Spidey’s mask, where the lens reflection reveals Spidey. MJ (Zendaya). This confirms that, although Doctor Strange’s spell is still in force, Peter’s destiny is still linked to his great love.

According to exclusive footage shown behind closed doors, the film will explore Peter Parker’s loneliness as he tries to rebuild his life from scratch. A detail that left everyone speechless was the mention of a physical evolution of the protagonist: everything indicates that in this installment, Peter will develop organic spider websmarking a key difference from his previous appearances in the MCU.
In the projected scene, we see a somewhat clumsy Peter trying to introduce himself to an MJ who does not recognize him. Under the false name of “Maynard”Peter tries to regain his connection with her, only to discover that his friends’ lives have moved on without him.
Sony Pictures not only showed images, but also put a date on the calendar. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released on July 31, 2026.
