The Turrialba Criminal Court handed down a sentence against a Social Studies teacher from an educational center in the area, who invited one of his students to his house and He also took her to hotels on the way.
The young woman was a minor at the time.
The judges declared the subject, surnamed Calderón, responsible for three crimes of sexual relations with minors and they imposed fourteen years in prison.
According to the Judiciary, the events occurred between 2017 and 2020, when Calderón was working as a teacher.
“He took advantage of this relationship of authority, trustinnocence and inexperience to commit the crimes,” the Court ruled.
