The president said that these situations are completely absurd. “The time has come for the Ministry of Justice to tell us what its capacity is to control people who are detained in their homes. or in house arrest with a bracelet, because evidently many of those people are back on the streets, supposedly paying their sentence, but committing new crimes.
“The Ministry should even tell us if house arrest should continue to be allowed for highly dangerous people, when there is no capacity to control them or to ensure that they do not commit more crimes,” added the mayor.
