PARAMARIBO — Eight-year-old Rodaishalyn Dias Cunha from the private primary school De Ondernemertjes won the Mini Playback Show 2026, organized by XR Event Planning & More, in the Thalia theater on Sunday. With her impressive performance of Beyoncé’s song Formation, she convinced both the jury and the audience.
Second place went to Vanicha Cudogham, while Precious Stein finished third. Fourth and fifth places went to Amy-Grace Sandel and Gerelscha Flier respectively. The prize for the best costume went to Luna Nojowidjojo.

Organizer Zoureena Rijger, former Miss Suriname, singer and model, looks back on the event with satisfaction. “We are very pleased with the outcome and the show. It was a great production and, just like the two years before, it sold out again,” she says. the True Time.
According to the organization, the reactions from the public were very positive. Both parents and children clearly enjoyed the performances. The MC, Romano Wip, also knew how to entertain the audience and keep them involved throughout the show.
The main prize for Cunha included a laptop, 500 US dollars, stylish glasses, trendy Crocs and various giveaways. The Mini Playback Show of XR Event Planning & More was organized for the third time this year. The event gives children from six to twelve years old a platform to further develop their artistic talents.
