Emirates is close to returning to normal operations, with 96% of its global network already restored, the airline announced on Monday.
The airline’s current four weekly flights between Budapest and Dubai will increase to five starting May 18, then operate six weekly flights between May 22 and 31, and will resume daily service starting in June, the statement said.
In recent weeks the airline has gradually resumed flights across the Americas, Europe, Africa, West Asia, the Middle East, and the Gulf region, as well as in the Far East and Australia.
Emirates currently operates over 1,300 flights per week to 137 destinations in 72 countries, which represents 76% of its pre-disruption capacity.
The statement notes that even during the reduced schedule due to the conflict in Iran, between March 1 and April 30, Emirates carried 4.7 million passengers, which clearly demonstrates the sustained demand for travel and confidence in the airline. Developments did not stop even during the disruptions, they noted.
To strengthen passenger confidence, the airline introduced discounts. Thanks to flexible rebooking rules, passengers booking tickets after April 2 can change their travel dates once free of charge in all passenger classes, Emirates announced.
