The Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization implemented a new meeting within the pilot phase of the “Development Partners” initiative in Karak Governorate, with the participation of 14 women-led associations concerned with development and community work.
The meeting comes within a series of meetings carried out by the Authority in various governorates with the aim of strengthening partnership with local associations, listening to their development needs, and linking them to the support and empowerment programs implemented by the Authority.
The Secretary-General of the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization, Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, confirmed that the initiative reflects the organization’s orientation towards building sustainable development partnerships with women’s associations, enhancing its role in reaching the most needy groups and achieving a direct economic and social impact within local communities.
The meeting witnessed dialogue sessions with the participating associations to review the most prominent challenges and needs, in addition to examining opportunities for cooperation in the areas of economic empowerment, psychological and social support, and institutional development.
The “Development Partners” initiative aims to build a national network of women’s associations, develop sustainable development projects, and enhance the capabilities of local associations in various governorates of the Kingdom.
