The Digital Civic Circles (DPK) network (a network of political-social communities in Hungary, associated with conservatives that operate mainly in the digital space and serve to organize, communicate and mobilize supporters) as a whole can be “one of the important pillars of the renewal of the national party” after the electoral defeat, says Viktor Orbán.
Orban wrote about all this in a letter addressed to members of the DPK. The outgoing prime minister is, according to reports 444, said they had suffered a “defeat of earthquake proportions” and that it could not be glossed over. He stated that they had never worked so hard during a campaign before, and yet they lost the election.
He thanked members of the DPK and the “Warrior Club” (an informal community of supporters within the same political environment as the DPK), claiming that “the national side did not kneel before globalist forces” even in the digital space.
He stated that Fidesz, as a major ruling party, has weakened, and from its opposition role, it is not capable of rebuilding the entire Hungarian right. Orban expects renewal not from the party itself, but from smaller and larger clubs and circles, which he believes believe in the national idea and do not consider the work of the past 16 years worthless.
He called Tisa “a large coalition with a liberal profile” and wrote that the achievements of the national era should be defended. According to his belief, “we are entering an era of arbitrariness and tyranny”, and attacks on the president of the republic and other public office holders “would abolish constitutional guarantees”.
The outgoing Prime Minister also asked for suggestions from DPK members.
