The president of ZNAM and current mayor of Kumanovo, Maksim Dimitrievski, in his guest appearance in Telma’s “Top Topic”, opened up the topic which, as he pointed out, has remained without clear answers for years and is shrouded in political silence, dilemmas and inconsistencies surrounding the processes related to the extradition of Nikola Gruevski.
“In the public, instead of complete transparency and institutional consistency, attitudes have been changing for years, situations have been left unsaid and space has been opened for doubts about the manner in which key political-legal processes were conducted,” said Dimitrievski.
The leader of ZNAM added that the question arises, whether in the office of former president Stevo Pendarovski, in the presence of Dimitar Kovacevski, Ali Ahmeti, Artan Grubi and other SDSM representatives, scenarios related to the return of Nikola Gruevski to Macedonia were discussed in exchange for his amnesty.
“And are there records or transcripts of those meetings, which are hidden from the public? Were there political agreements between the SDSM and DUI for legal changes in the Criminal Code, at Gruevski’s request? Is all of this recorded on the famous USB stick that traveled on the Budapest-Skopje route,” Dimitrieevski asked.
In addition, he says, the question of Gruevski’s departure from the state and whether specific responsibility has been established for that institutional failure, taking into account the powers of the authorities led by SDSM at the time, remains open.
According to the views expressed by Dimitrievski, instead of a complete clarification, the public has been witnessing political defocus, accusations and unspoken explanations for years, while the essential questions remain without a final answer.
