The closing ceremony of the Basic Public Financial Management Course 12 was held yesterday afternoon at the Public Finance Management Academy of the Budget Department, Ministry of Finance and Revenue and was attended by Union Minister Dr Kan Zaw, Deputy Minister Daw Than Than Lin, members of the Management Board of the Public Finance Management Academy, the permanent secretary, heads of departments, trainers, and trainees.
The Union minister spoke on the occasion that, in line with the mission of the Public Finance Management, “Producing capable civil servants to promote a strong public finance management system”, trainers taught subjects related to public finance management, such as designing and implementing planning and budgeting, accounting, auditing, and reporting. He encouraged trainees to study and carry out their duties by using these subjects in order to improve public financial management in pursuit of existing policies, laws, and procedures, leading to the national development and socioeconomic development of the people. He instructed that the trainees should continuously apply what they have learned in the training in their departments, share and discuss with their colleagues, and continue to study and learn. He urged the trainees to strive constantly to improve their performance, and they will be able to effectively fulfil public service tasks with full responsibility and accountability based on their performance.
Afterwards, the Union minister presented certificates of completion, and a trainee gave words of thanks on behalf of the trainees.
Altogether, 41 trainees from various ministries reportedly attended the course, and it lasted for about three and a half months. — MoFR
