The announcement of the final judgment in the process against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army in the Specialized Chambers of Kosovo in The Hague has been postponed and is expected to take place on July 20 of this year.
The news has been confirmed for the media by the lawyer of the former president of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi, Luka Mishetic, who has confirmed that the change of date is correct.
Initially, the decision was planned to be announced on May 19, in accordance with procedural deadlines. However, court rules provide that the jury has up to 90 days to deliver the verdict, with the possibility of postponement for another 60 days in special cases.
This process is considered one of the most important for international justice related to the war in Kosovo, while its conclusion is expected to attract wide attention in the region and beyond.
