
The consequences of the Russian drones hitting the Kernel oil terminal

On the night of May 3, Russian drones attacked the port infrastructure of Chornomorsk in Odesa and damaged the “Kernel” terminal for transshipment of vegetable oil.
This is stated in the “Kernel” release dated May 4, which is at the disposal of the EP.
As a result of direct hits, storage tanks were destroyed and damaged, more than 1,100 tons of products leaked. The company said that the oil did not get into the sea.

The fire that engulfed part of the production facilities was extinguished. The fire and debris also damaged equipment, office space, logistics infrastructure and four railway tanks.
Due to significant destruction, the enterprise suspended the reception and shipment of products. One employee received moderate injuries, there is no threat to his life.

The company said it uses partner port terminals in Odesa and the Danube, as well as the railway, to fulfill export contracts.
