Libya’s Export Development Authority, headed by Mohammed Al-Anqari, held a meeting in Tripoli with Russia’s ambassador to Libya, Aydar Aganin, to explore ways to develop trade relations between the two countries, with a focus on supporting Libyan non-oil exports.
The authority said discussions included opening the Russian market to Libyan products and the possibility of Russian facilitation measures to support export growth.
Both sides agreed to continue meetings to develop practical mechanisms for cooperation and establish a legal framework to regulate it.
In a separate statement, the Russian embassy said the talks also focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation through official institutions responsible for export promotion.
