The first Tajik restaurant OMAR KHAYAM opened on May 3 in the capital of Belarus – Minsk. The establishment is located in the EXPOBEL shopping center. The opening took place with the participation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Belarus Bakhtovar Safarzoda, reports the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Belarus.
It was noted that during the event, guests got acquainted with national Tajik dishes such as pilaf and kurutob, and also enjoyed a cultural program that included musical performances and elements of national rituals.
“The opening of the facility is an important step in the popularization of Tajik culture, traditions and national cuisine in Belarus, and will also contribute to strengthening cultural ties and expanding humanitarian cooperation between the two states,” Bakhtovar Safarzoda said. Belta publication.
Restaurant OMAR KHAYAMthanks to the special national atmosphere and modern level of service, can become one of the attractive places for lovers of culture and oriental cuisine in Minsk, the embassy noted.

OMAR KHAYAM is a restaurant serving Eastern European cuisine, so the menu includes not only national Tajik dishes, but also pizzas, salads, appetizers, kebabs, breakfasts, fish dishes and others. The establishment itself is decorated in a modern style with elements of Tajik attributes.
The EXPOBEL shopping center is located in Minsk at the 50th kilometer of the Moscow Ring Road at the intersection with Miroshnichenko Street.

Let us note that this is not the first establishment of Tajik cuisine operating in other countries. One of the most famous is The Boulder teahouse – Dushanbe Teahouse – located in Boulder (Colorado, USA). It was opened in 1990, and later restored.
