MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Railways has reported a delay in passenger train traffic due to a freight train derailment on Lithuanian territory, BelTA has learned from the press service of Belarusian Railways.
Specifically, the following trains are being delayed: No. 360 Kaliningrad – Adler, No. 148 Kaliningrad – Moscow, No. 147 Moscow – Kaliningrad, No. 79 Saint Petersburg – Kaliningrad, No. 29 Moscow – Kaliningrad.
Currently, the delay on Belarusian Railways ranges from 30 minutes to 5 hours.Belarusian Railways is taking measures to assist passengers on trains No. 29 Moscow – Kaliningrad, No. 79 Saint Petersburg – Kaliningrad (at Molodechno station), and No. 147 Moscow – Kaliningrad (at Gudogai station) by providing them with drinking water and food. Medical assistance and rolling stock maintenance are also being provided,” the press service reported.
A group of cars on the Minsk – Moscow route from train No. 148 Kaliningrad – Moscow on 3 May will run as a separate train No. 248 Minsk – Moscow, departing from Minsk at 9.49 and arriving in Moscow at 19.44.

As it has been reported, a locomotive and four freight cars traveling from Germany derailed in Kaunas District of Lithuania. It was noted that due to the accident, traffic on adjacent tracks has also been halted, affecting 22 passenger trains.
