Al-Shahid Al-Hafiz, May 3, 2026 (SPS) – Starting tomorrow, Monday, the Chairperson of the Italian Parliament’s Human Rights Committee will embark on a working and solidarity visit to Sahrawi refugee camps and Sahrawi state institutions, in order to learn more about the progress of work in the institutions and to hear the latest developments in the Sahrawi issue.
During the visit, the Italian parliamentarian will be informed of the functioning of the institutions through visits that will lead her to a number of institutions, including the National Human Rights Commission, the Association of Parents of Detained and Missing Sahrawis “Evabradisa”, and regional facilities in the state of Boujdour.
It will also include meetings with Sahrawi officials, including a meeting with the President of the National Council, the Minister of the Occupied Territories and Communities, the Minister of Social Affairs and Women’s Promotion, and the President of the Sahrawi Red Crescent. (SPS)
