US President Donald Trump was briefly interrupted by a bee while speaking to reporters at the White House on Friday, May 1.
Trump paused mid-sentence and tried to shoo the insect away, describing it as a “vicious bee,” prompting laughter from those in attendance before continuing his statement.
The incident occurred while the president was answering questions from reporters before leaving the White House.
Separately, First Lady Melania Trump unveiled a new beehive on the South Lawn as part of the White House’s long-standing honey program.
– Handcrafted by a local craftsman modeled after the White House, the beautiful new beehive will add two new bee colonies to the existing two colonies that already produce the signature White House honey, Melania’s office said.
