The General Tax Directorate (DGI) announced the key dates of the IRPF and IASS 2026 campaigncorresponding to fiscal year 2025, and detailed the requirements and procedure to access returns.
According to the organization, the Dependent workers with a balance in favor and without the need to present an affidavit will be able to collect from mid-Junewhile the rest must complete the process within the established deadlines.

To check the balance or submit the affidavit, taxpayers must have a valid authentication method. The enabled options are:

- Digital identity (managed in Abitab, RedPagos, Antel or Correo Uruguayo)

Step by step to check the balance
The DGI enabled its online platform to verify if there is money to be collected. The process is as follows:
- Enter the official portal of the DGI
- Access the “Online Services” section
- Select the “Return Status” option
- Identify yourself with an electronic card or digital identity
- Choose fiscal year 2025
- Check the available amount, the status of the process and the estimated payment date
- Verify that the registered bank account is in the name of the owner
Key dates of the 2026 campaign
- IASS: Support now available from April 9, 2026
- Personal income tax: assistance will begin on June 29 and will extend until August 31, 2026
- Automatic returns: from mid-June
The DGI indicated that this stage is especially relevant for those who must include deductions such as rent or mortgage paymentssince they directly impact the balance to be returned.
