What the Prime Minister, Seifi Gharib, said, and confirmed verbally and morally in the Eurasian capital, about the state’s insistence on the real manufacture of cars, is heartening and reassuring, when we see many initiatives and diversification in investments, until the competition that will revolve around the state’s goals is achieved, so that Algeria will have its car, and the Algerian will have his vehicle.

Most of the cars that have captured the Algerian’s passion in the recent period, of all brands manufactured less than three years ago, are imported from China, a country that is not the historical capital of the automobile industry, but is currently one of the largest exporters of it in the world, to the extent that the Germans import from it their famous and elegant cars of “Mercedes,” “Volkswagen,” and others…

All the reasons for success in manufacturing cars in Algeria are available, including money, the Algerian’s passion for the car, opening the file in all government meetings, and diversifying the partners, which puts us on a path that will take us far away from the tire-inflating farces in which wrong policies presented the people with fish, and refused to teach them to fish in the depths of global industries.

There is a relative relief in the car crisis that the country has experienced, and the prices of old ones have been raised until they are impossible. Opening the door to purchasing a car from abroad under these conditions that do not harm the national economy, and give the citizen the freedom to maneuver and choose, puts the expected manufacture of the car on the right path, which is cooking on a slow fire, away from the Algerian’s pressing need for a good, new car.

There are many countries in the world that have been able to achieve self-sufficiency in car production and export the surplus abroad, with international brands such as Brazil, Turkey and India… In fact, China leads the world, with a wide margin over the United States of America, and it sells brands to its country of origin, without a purely Chinese brand being superior. However, it adapts to new technologies of clean and electric cars and achieves excellence in them. When it finds a country that possesses the desire and raw materials, it rushes to partner with it, and is not sensitive like colonial countries. Old, in technology transfer.

The recent victories achieved in exports, which only an ungrateful person can deny, and the important advances in reducing the import bill for food, construction and medicine, give us hope in order to keep up with the very fast world of cars. Just as we are on the verge of shipping tons of durum wheat, cow’s milk and textiles abroad, achieving self-sufficiency through manufacturing cars and exporting them abroad will not be impossible.

In the story of cars, there is nothing better than the Chinese model, and in the wisdom and examples that push a person to challenge, self-reliance, and perseverance, there is nothing better than the Chinese examples that blew up the wheels: “Do not give me a fresh fish, but teach me how to catch it,” “If you rule yourself, you can rule the world,” “A drop of water penetrates a stone not by its strength, but by its persistence.”

We have been advised since ancient times: “Seek knowledge, even if it is in China.”
