ABA Technology launches international AI program applied to health from Portugal

Artificial intelligence continues to establish itself as a lever for transforming health systems. It is in this context that ABA Technology announced the launch of the program “Fusion AI for the Future of Health”, an international initiative intended to support universities in the integration of AI into medical education and life sciences research.

The program was launched atUniversity of Évorawhich thus becomes the first pilot site of a system intended to be deployed internationally. The objective is to train a new generation of healthcare professionals capable of using, supervising and developing artificial intelligence tools applied to medicine.

The initiative is structured around three main axes:

    • The first concerns the training of “AI-augmented doctors”, with the integration of digital technologies into academic courses.
    • The second concerns the development of “smart hospitals”, through solutions aimed at optimizing care pathways, improving patient care and supporting healthcare professionals.
    • The third axis targets life sciences, with the use of AI to accelerate biomedical research, particularly in drug discovery and personalized medicine.

Beyond these pillars, the program is based on an integrated approach combining academic training, development of use cases via dedicated laboratories and deployment of technological solutions in health systems. The ambition is to reduce the gap between theoretical teaching and concrete applications, by promoting the emergence of tools that can be used directly in the field.

For ABA Technology, the issue is also strategic. The group wishes to support the transformation of universities in the face of technological change, while contributing to the establishment of more efficient and more resilient health systems. The question of the sovereignty of health data and AI technologies is also among the stated priorities. “With “Fusion AI for the Future of Health”, we want to train a new generation of doctors capable of mastering artificial intelligence, while developing smarter, more preventive and more sovereign health systems,” says Mohamed Ben Ouda, president of ABA Technology.

Through this program, ABA Technology aims to support universities in their transformation in the AI era, to contribute to the emergence of more resilient and efficient health systems and to promote a sovereign approach to the management of health data and artificial intelligence technologies.

The group thus intends to be part of a global dynamic aimed at redefining medical practices, training models and research capabilities, at a time when data and digital technologies are taking a central place in the future of health.
