Spain will invite Delcy Rodríguez to the Ibero-American Summit to be held in Madrid on November 4 and 5, the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, reported this Tuesday during an official visit to the Dominican Republic.
«Right now, what we are doing is addressing all countries and we are going to act as we always act. “Whoever has the international representation of each country is invited,” Albares said in a meeting with the press when asked if Rodríguez had already been invited to that meeting.
The Ibero-American Summit in Madrid «is not going to be different from another, the Pro Tempere Secretariat does not change the rules. There are rules established by everyone and we will follow them at all times,” added the Spanish minister.
Albares also confirmed that the president of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, will attend the Ibero-American Summit.
Spanish Albares offered the information to the Spanish press at the Spanish embassy in Santo Domingo after a meeting with his Dominican counterpart, Roberto Álvarez, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, the second stop on his tour of Latin America that began yesterday in Puerto Rico and will continue in Mexico.
“We have brought the letter of invitation from His Majesty the King, and the Dominican Foreign Minister has confirmed to me that President Abinader will, of course, be at that summit in Madrid in November,” Albares declared.
This Tuesday, the two Foreign Ministers reviewed the preparatory work for the Ibero-American Summit in Madrid, which on this occasion will have as its motto ‘Ibero-America. Together we build our community. Together we project it towards the future and towards the world’
