Today, Monday, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Dr. Youssef Belmahdi, received the reader, Mohamed Salah El-Din Rammal, at the Ministry’s headquarters, after he was crowned first place in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Competition for Memorizing the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah for the countries of the African continent in its second session, which was hosted by the Senegalese capital, Dakar, with the participation of 100 contestants representing 53 African countries, according to a statement by the Ministry.
The Minister congratulated the crowned reciter on this honorable achievement, which raised the flag of Algeria high in international Qur’anic forums, noting his mastery and distinction in memorizing the Holy Qur’an with the ten recitations, narration and knowledge, stressing that this coronation reflects the continuous care that Algeria attaches to the Book of God Almighty in its memorization, teaching and intonation.
The Minister also praised the high level achieved by Algerian memorizers of the Holy Qur’an, considering this victory a new qualitative addition to Algeria’s record of achievements in international Qur’anic competitions.
