    That day, agents of the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI), in coordination with specialized units against criminal finances of the Attorney General’s Office, They began a series of raids and search procedures simultaneously that sought to collect evidence about an alleged transnational network dedicated to money laundering and the entry of illegal merchandise into the national territory.

    The investigation, which had been brewing for months, suggests that behind the commercial recognition of the brand there would have been hidden irregular financial maneuvers. Reports from the authorities indicate that the brand is linked to the company Fast Moda SAS, a company established in mid-2020 in the city of Bogotá and that has registered assets worth 295,000 million pesos.

    This administrative and criminal process has generated a strong shock in the sector, given that Lili Pink manages nearly 300 stores under the franchise model throughout the country.

    The primary objective expressed by the entity is to guarantee the sustainability of the operation and protecting the value of assets, ensuring that “the management plan that is eventually adopted will depend on the comprehensive diagnosis carried out by the entity on the financial, accounting, contractual, labor status and productive capacity of the brand, with the purpose of guaranteeing the sustainability of the operation and the protection of the value of the assets”.

    For their part, the directors of the specialized units of the Attorney General’s Office They exposed the magnitude of the criminal network that he would have used the commercial structure of women’s clothing for illicit purposes.

    Leonardo Quevedo Castillo, specialized director against tax crimes, explained that the intelligence work made it possible to uncover a conglomerate that functioned as a front. The official explained: “The criminal organization would have structured a network composed of importers, marketers and paper companies, through which merchandise such as clothing, toys and cosmetic products entered the country and were then distributed in the national market to give the appearance of legality to the operation.”

    The figures revealed by the entity are conclusive regarding the economic impact of these activities. Quevedo pointed out that money laundering has been documented that amounts to 730,000 million pesos, added to an illicit enrichment of individuals that exceeds 430,000 million. In addition, seizures of merchandise by Dian valued at more than 54,000 million pesos and possible smuggling that would exceed 75,000 million pesos.

    These actions, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, had the purpose of “disguising customs control, fragmenting transactions, simulating commercial relationships and making money traceability difficult” to integrate it into the formal economic system.

    Juan Felipe Cárdenas Restrepo, specialized director of domain right extinction, reported on the precautionary measures imposed on the organization’s assets. Cárdenas confirmed that a prosecutor from his office ordered the embargo, kidnapping and suspension of the dispositive power over “405 commercial premises, 40 properties, eight vehicles and a company, which were subject to appraisal.”

Cárdenas specified that ““The properties and other assets affected will continue to fulfill and develop their corporate purpose while the process of extinction of the right of ownership advances before the judges of the specialty.” In parallel to the measures on the assets, the Prosecutor’s Office obtained arrest warrants against ppeople linked to these behaviors, which are in the process of materialization.

    Given these facts, the Fastmoda Executive Directorate issued an official statement recognizing that the company is going through an administrative process before regulatory entities, which they described as a management that they are addressing directly.

    In its statement, the brand called on the Prosecutor’s Office and the SAE to “protect the Colombian brand that, for more than 20 years, has established itself as a national and international reference, generating thousands of direct and indirect jobs.”
