KUCHING (April 28): Sri Aman Resident Mahra Salleh was among 148 recipients conferred with Sarawak state honours at an investiture ceremony held at Astana Negeri here today.
According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Mahra headed the list of recipients for the Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (PPC), one of several honours presented by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar during the ceremony.
The head of state also presented the Pegawai Bintang Sarawak (PBS) honours to Mohamad Shiblie Abang Sapuan, Ida Rohana Othman and Susan Clement Ingun.
Meanwhile, recipients of the Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (PBK) included Charles Benet Ait, Daniel Punang and Daniel Jok Wan @ Asa Jau, along with 11 others.
The Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (PPB) was also conferred on Lieutenant Colonel Ismanizam Ismail, Major Chester Richard, Major Muhammad Adam Carlos Rakem and 16 others.
A total of 14 individuals were awarded the Ahli Bintang Sarawak (ABS), with Hudien Yusup heading the list along with 13 other recipients while for the Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (ABK), recipients included Baie Barang and Bajung Ambik, together with 19 others.
The ceremony also saw the conferment of the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam to 36 recipients and the Bentara Bintang Sarawak (BBS) to 41 recipients.

Also present were Wan Junaidi’s wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi; Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Project Coordination for Regional Development Agencies, DBKU and Islamic Affairs) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi; State Deputy Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Minister Datuk Rosey Yunus; and State Deputy Infrastructure and Port Development Minister Datuk Majang Renggi.
