US President Donald Trump assured this Thursday that he does not feel pressured to end the war against Iran and that he has “all the time in the world” to do so, amid the uncertainty due to the lack of a definitive agreement between both countries.
“To those people who read the decadent New York Times or watch CNN’s fake news, and who believe that I am ‘eager’ to end the war (if you can even call that a war!) with Iran, I inform you that I am possibly the least pressured person who has ever felt in this position. “I have all the time in the world, but not Iran,” he said in a message on his Truth Social network.
The Republican, who has increased his criticism of the media in recent months, assured again that Iran’s Navy “lies at the bottom of the sea” and that it has destroyed its air and military capabilities.
«From this point, the situation can only get worse. “Time is not in their favor!” he added.
In addition, he said that the naval blockade that he maintains on the coasts of the Islamic Republic is “airtight and forceful.”
Regarding the possibility of reaching an agreement with Tehran, Trump insisted that it will only be reached when “it is timely and beneficial” for the US and its allies.
The White House reported on Wednesday that the president, who has stated that there is a possibility of resuming negotiations with the Iranian Government on Friday, has not set any deadline for the Persian nation to reach an agreement.
Trump announced on Tuesday his decision to indefinitely extend the ceasefire with Iran until the Government of the Islamic Republic, which he considers divided, presents him with a unified proposal for an agreement.
The US president made this decision a few hours before the current ceasefire expired and despite the fact that on Tuesday he declared that he did not intend to extend it and that he was willing to resume the “bombing” against Iran.
