Deputies and senators of Brunette They presented an initiative to modify the Constitution again, so that the second judicial election be held in 2028, and not next year, as established in the judicial reform to tie it with the concurrent election.
“The election of judges scheduled for the ordinary federal electoral process of the year 2027 will be held on the first Sunday of June 2028,” the project establishes in a transitional ninth article.
The initiative was presented by deputies Alfonso Ramírez Cuéllar, Olga Sánchez Cordero, Mariana Benítez Tiburcio and Alfredo Vázquez, and senators Javier Corral Jurado and Susana Harp Iturribarría.

They also proposed reforming articles 95 and 97 of the Constitution to incorporate as an essential requirement for ministers, magistrates and judges the certification of competencies issued by the National Judicial Training School, and eliminates the requirement for specific academic averages.
“The certification will correspond to the National Judicial Training School, while the local judicial schools will be responsible for providing prior training for this purpose,” the initiative specifies.
and establishes that magistrates or judges cannot be those who have held the position of head of the federal or local Secretariat or its equivalent, Attorney General of the Republic or of any federal entity or Federal or local Deputy, councilor or municipal president, or head of the local Executive Branch, likewise, not having been a member of a political party, or having held any position of leadership or national or state representation of any political party during the year prior to the day of publication of the respective call by the local Congress and that for five of the nine ministers of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nationof the minimum 10 years of professional practice required in the exercise of legal activity, five years must be within the Judiciary. For the remaining four ministers, previous judicial experience will not be necessary.
