Renato Mhillaj 23 years old is the son of Genc Mhillaj, who was executed in 2016 by Kreshnik Mujeci, his brother Lin and cousin Jozef Mujeci, while Florin, 36 years old, is the grandson of Genc Mhillaj.
Along with the other nephew Adriano Mhillaj 22 years old are wanted by the police.
Police say one of the vehicles used in the crime, an Audi A4, was monitoring Kreshnik Mujeci’s movements. Then, another vehicle, “Volkswagen” type, without license plates, allegedly blocked the way of the vehicle in which Mujeci was traveling, together with his wife, and the citizens who were in the vehicle fired a volley of weapons in the direction of his vehicle.
From further investigative actions, it is suspected that the murder occurred for reasons of revenge. As for the perpetrators, after their identification, the police structures carried out checks in several apartments and other premises, but it was not possible to find them and they were declared wanted.
Police notification
On 26.04.2026, around 2:50 p.m., on the “Balldren-Torovicë” road, an unidentified citizen fired at the vehicle driven by citizen Kreshnik Mujeci.
Upon receiving the notification, the Police and emergency services immediately arrived at the scene.
To investigate and clarify the event, a special investigative group was set up, with specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation of DVP Lezhë, the Criminal Police Department, as well as the best criminal experts, who, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, have intensively followed the investigative actions at the scene of the incident and a series of other actions with proactive methods, in order to clarify and fully document it legally.
The investigations have continued with the inspection and administration of all film footage on the itinerary of the movements of the victims and the perpetrators, the analysis of every material evidence, and as a result, one of the vehicles used by the perpetrators, of the “Audi A4” brand, has been identified.
Following the in-depth and professional investigations, the analysis of every evidence related to the event, it became possible to identify the suspected perpetrators, specifically the citizens:
– AM, 22 years old, FM, 36 years old and RM, 23 years old, resident in Lezhë.
From the dynamics of the event, it appears that the “Audi A4” type vehicle has been monitoring the movement of the citizen Kreshnik Mujeci. Then, another vehicle, “Volkswagen” type, without license plates, allegedly blocked the way of the vehicle in which the citizen Kreshnik Mujeci was traveling, together with his wife, and the citizens who were in the vehicle fired a volley of weapons in the direction of his vehicle.
From further investigative actions, it is suspected that the murder occurred for reasons of revenge.
Investigations continue intensively, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, for the complete legal documentation of the event.
Regarding the perpetrators, after their identification, the police structures carried out checks in several apartments and other premises, but it was not possible to find them. These citizens have been declared wanted.
The operation continues on the ground, where the “RENEA” Special Forces, the National Security Forces and the operational structures of the Lezhë Local Police Directorate have been involved, with the aim of locating and capturing them.
In addition, work continues to find and seize the vehicles and firearms that were used to commit the murder.
