In the derby between Milan and Juventus at San Siro, we watched a hard and uncertain game without goals, but also a moment that worried everyone in the stadium.
At the end of the match, there was a heavy head collision between Luka Modrić and Manuel Locatelli. After the duel, both remained lying on the turf, and the medical services immediately rushed in while the players gathered around them. Modrić, who was on the ground for some time, visibly shaken and dazed, looked particularly worrying.

Both of them tried to reach one ball, but they collided with their heads. The break lasted several minutes while they were being helped. Unfortunately, the Fire captain had to leave the field holding his head in a daze, while the Juventus midfielder remained in the game.
In the end, the Croatian midfielder got up and left the field on his own two feet, but with the obvious consequences of the collision. From what was seen, it seemed that he also suffered a hematoma on his head, which further increased the concern.
The match continued after the break, but the incident with Modrić overshadowed the rest of the match in which both teams had their chances, but failed to find a way to the net.
The match was extremely important for both clubs in the fight for the Champions League. The race for the “scuddeto” is lost, the leading Inter has 10 points more than the second-placed Napoli, so the “Rossoners” and the “Binaconers” only have to fight for the Champions League.
The first fifteen minutes passed without any shots on goal. Milan had the first chance in the 23rd minute, Youssouf Fofana shot, but the ball went a few centimeters past the right post. In the 35th minute, Adrien Rabiot shot from the edge of the penalty area, but the visiting goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio saved.
Just a minute later, Juve scored. Conceicao crossed and Thuram beat Maignan. However, the French striker’s goal was disallowed by the VAR room due to the backfield. Conceicao also threatened in the 40th minute, but Maignan made a great save.
Milan had a great chance at the opening of the second half, but Alexis Saelemaekers hit the crossbar in the 50th minute. By the end of the match, there were still several half-chances, but no goals.
Milan remained third with 67 points, three more than Juventus in fourth position.
