A young man was shot and killed in the early hours of Thursday at Westhall Group, Vieux Fort, more commonly known as “The Mang”.
His body was discovered lying in a pile of rubble.
St Lucia Times understands that the deceased is 23-year-old Mershan Sumra.
Residents in the area said that the victim is not originally from the Westhall Group community.
Video footage from the scene showed police officers processing the area as investigations got underway.
