A meeting between Machado and the Government of Spain is not planned, but the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, stated this Tuesday that Pedro Sánchez’s administration would have “no problem” in meeting with the Venezuelan opposition leader.
In an interview on laSexta, Albares hinted that there is still no meeting planned with the Venezuelan opposition, who will initially hold meetings with the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and the mayor of the capital, José Luis Martínez-Almeida.
“If they request it, there would be no problem for them to have any meeting at any level,” said the minister, who stressed that he has spoken with her “on different occasions.”
