- Beatrice Egli is ending her ARD Saturday evening show “Beatrice Egli Show” after the December 2025 edition.
- The pop singer is instead focusing on new music – her album “Never stop doing it 2.0” was released on April 24th.
- At the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna she appears in the ORF1 show “We are Song Contest”.
Beatrice Egli In 2013 she was the first pop singer to win “DSDS”. The casting show, on which she sat on the jury herself in 2022, helped her to have a huge career in the hit business, numerous TV appearances and, since 2022, her own ARD Saturday evening show, the “Beatrice Egli Show”. However, last December’s edition will remain the last for the time being.
“Yes, it’s successful, but I’m so focused on new things,” Egli explains her motivations in an interview with the news agency spot on news. She is doing “very well” with the end of her show. The 37-year-old adds: “I am very happy because it has been clear to me for a long time. It first became apparent during the last broadcast when I thought: This was the best one. I really didn’t know how to top it.”
Beatrice Egli is ending her successful TV show to devote herself to new things. What do you think of such career decisions?
“I am a completely normal woman”
With “Never Stop It 2.0” on April 24th, she released the expansion to her previous album from 2025, which, in addition to modern pop songs, also contains hits in Swiss German. «For me, 2.0 is the epitome of how diverse Schlager is: On the one hand, songs with a very modern sound, on the other hand, the origin, my roots in Switzerland, traditional and rustic. And I’m in the mood for more music – when spring comes, there has to be new music,” announces the Swiss singer.
Her fundamentally optimistic and hopeful nature helps her maintain her joy even after all these years in the spotlight. “But despite everything, I am a completely normal woman with completely normal issues, who sometimes feels better and sometimes less well: We women go through a cycle, so not every day is the same. But it’s also a gift that you can feel it and experience it,” says Egli.

Despite the end of the “Beatrice Egli Show”, she is not turning her back on music programs completely. In the ORF1 show “We are Song Contest” Beatrice Egli sings her personal ESC favorite.
«There is no better show in this world that stages songs to perfection and also shows the diversity of music in a bizarre way. That’s why I think it’s great. Many people say that it’s just weird – yes, but art and music can also be weird,” says the musician enthusiastically about the competition. Would she even take part in it herself? «Never say never, I always swore to myself. But I couldn’t imagine it right now.”
Beatrice has great respect for every artist who faces public pressure, but even more so, her own country. “Somehow it’s a culture that’s quicker to condemn than to support. I just wish there was more support. My fingers are definitely crossed for Germany – I can call from Switzerland and both votes will go to Germany.”
