SAN MARINO – Four people were referred to the judicial authorities and removed from the territory of the Republic of San Marino after a check carried out by the Civil Police in via XVIII Luglio. The intervention took place on November 2, around 6.30 pm, when a patrol from the Emergency Section stopped a car deemed suspicious.
On board were two Albanian citizens aged 21 and 25, a 23-year-old Romanian citizen and a 25-year-old Italian woman. According to what was reported by the Civil Police, all four appeared to have numerous criminal records, including drug-related crimes, possession of weapons, receiving stolen goods, brawling, resistance and injury to a public official, as well as offenses against a public official and littering.
During the investigations it emerged that only the Italian woman was in possession of identification documents. The three foreign citizens were then subjected to signal, photographic, dactyloscopic and anthropometric tests.
Further irregularities were found against the driver, an Albanian citizen without a licence. Subjected to tests, he was found to be in a state of psychophysical alteration due to the intake of narcotic substances, in particular cocaine and cannabinoids.
The subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of hashish, a butterfly knife and a reproduction firearm without the red cap, therefore difficult to distinguish from a real gun.
The four occupants were accompanied to the Civil Police Headquarters for further investigative investigations and interrogations required by law. At the end of the investigations they were referred to the judicial authorities and subjected to expulsion orders from the Republic.
The car was also subjected to administrative detention in application of the delegated decree of 26 October 2026 n. 162, awaiting the payment of administrative sanctions of over 2,000 euros. The registration certificate was also withdrawn due to technical irregularities of the vehicle.
The Civil Police has communicated that further investigations are still underway by the Information and Investigation Sector of the Judicial Police.
