Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the military (IDF) to “forcefully attack Hezbollah targets in Lebanon,” according to a brief statement from his office released Saturday afternoon (April 25).
The announcement from Israel’s prime minister’s office comes after Hezbollah fired rockets and used drones against northern Israel and Israeli troops stationed in southern Lebanon on Saturday.
As reported by the Times of Israel, Hezbollah has carried out multiple daily attacks against Israeli forces stationed in southern Lebanon amid the ceasefire and claims its actions are due to alleged ceasefire violations by Israel.
Earlier today, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that four people were killed in Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon.
“Two attacks by the Israeli enemy, against a truck and a machine, in the community of Yamor al-Shakif, in Nabatiyeh province, caused the death of four people,” the Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement.
Yesterday, six people were killed in Lebanon, in the deadliest day of the ceasefire.
