The fifth day of the protest after the murder of Arlinda Zekaj, citizens gather in the square of Pristina

Citizens have also gathered today in the center of Pristina to demand institutional responsibility for Arlinda Zekajn, who was killed a week ago by her ex-brother-in-law in her house in Vitomirica, Peja, seeking the protection of the state.
Among the main demands of the protesters are institutional responsibility, including the dismissal or resignation of the Minister of Justice, Donika Gërvalla, and the Minister of the Interior, Xelal Sveçla.
The protesters have warned that the protest will continue until the demands are met.
Arlinda Zekaj, who was cruelly killed while begging the institutions to implement a court decision, has left written and oral evidence implicating the state in her murder.
She was brutally killed with an ax by her ex-brother-in-law, Albert Sylaj, on Sunday evening at her home in Vitomirica, Peja, as soon as a police patrol took her there.
At least from the middle of the year until a few hours before she was killed, Arlinda Zekaj had unsuccessfully requested the implementation of a decision of the Basic Court of Peja, which on October 16 had ordered her to return to the house she shared with her ex-husband and to her son.
