The failure of the court session in the case of Arlinda Zekaj, member of the KJC, shows the reasons

Invited to the TEMPUS show, which is broadcast on T7 television, the member of the Judicial Council of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimaj, spoke about the institutional failure in the case of Arlinda Zekajt. He stated that the party was protected by a court decision and that the measures were in force, despite the impossibility of holding the session.
He has shown the reasons for the delay in holding the court session, citing the lack of a report from the PSC.
“…Consistently, the protection has existed. The delay of the hearing in this part has only been related to the children’s trust in the case documents that we have received. We have never seen the party’s requests for the issuance of an emergency protective order, at least we have not evidenced that the party also requested protection for the child, but there was a request for custody and trust. Initially, it is true that the deadline of seven days has passed, but the judge found it impossible to hold the hearing. the session was held on September 24, despite the fact that the head was abroad. Then there was a need for the drafting of the report by the PSC. The session on October 5 failed because the PSC did not submit the report on time and, for this reason, the victim was not without judicial protection at any time,” said Bislimaj.
