How did the idea of running to high school come about?
It all started last year, when some friends challenged me to do it because they knew I like to run. We discussed it with some friends, Alex and Euken, and we thought: why not? It’s ten kilometers.
How did it go viral?
I recorded the first video as a memory, not thinking it would have any repercussions. I usually get about 100 or 200 likes and that one got 300. I saw that it was surprising people and I decided to make it a 27 day series, because I was born on the 27th of July.
Did you expect to end up running with TheGrefg?
When we resumed the challenge this year, I told Alex that we had to be consistent and that our goal was to run with TheGrefg. A video reached about 300,000 views, he saw it and we got in touch on Instagram.
How is the preparation of the videos?
We usually run for 45-55 minutes because we have to record. We record in the morning, I edit when I get out of class and I post around half past eight in the evening.
What other guests would you like to include?
I would really like Xavier Espot and Joan Verdú to come. We have already spoken to different people, but it is difficult to square the agendas. I would also like to gather the fans to come run with us.
What are you looking for with the project?
The initial objective was to promote sport in Andorra and to make people think about the children who have to travel great distances to get to school. Some people have written to me saying that they started running because of the videos. This makes me very happy.
Would you like to work professionally in networks?
Yes, but now I want to continue studying and get a career. I’ve tried many types of content and I think sports is the best fit for me. However, I would like to be known for who I am and not just for this series.
Do you also plan to give a supportive side to the challenge?
yes I would like to organize a fundraiser to help children who do not have the resources to go to school or to eat. I am evaluating several NGOs that help children without access to education or school supplies. I don’t have anything confirmed yet, but I would like to involve brands that could contribute money. I don’t want to gain anything from this, just help and give visibility to a very real problem.
