“Summary” (AKIpress) – A fatal accident occurred in Bishkek, the press service of the capital’s police reported.
On October 24, at approximately 21:50, a Lexus LX 570 SUV was driving along Chyngyz Aitmatov Avenue in a southerly direction. At the intersection with Moskovskaya Street, the driver ran a red light, exceeding the speed limit, and collided with a motor scooter traveling along Moskovskaya Street in an easterly direction.
The impact threw the scooter, along with the driver I.O., born in 2010, onto the “Weltmeister” car, which was located on Aitmatov Avenue in the northern direction and stood in front of a traffic light.
As a result, the scooter driver died on the spot.
This fact was registered under Article 312 Part 3 (“Violation of traffic safety rules and operation of motor vehicles”) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The driver of the SUV, E.A., born in 2001, was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
An investigation is underway.
