Among the main events is the return of the opera to the Amintore Galli Theatre, where the 2026 Opera Season ends with “La traviata” by Giuseppe Verdi, on stage on Friday 23 October at 8pm and Sunday 25 October at 3.30pm, directed by Andrea Bernard and the Italian Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Jacopo Brusa. The opera will be broadcast live on Sunday 25 October at 3.30pm on the Opera Streaming platform.

The musical program continues on Tuesday 27 October at 9pm at the Galli Theater with “Parole per la musica”, an event linked to the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana. The musicologist Alberto Batisti will lead a meeting dedicated to Bach’s Mass in B minor, with a reflection on its meaning as a symbol of religious harmony. Entrance is free.

Cinema occupies a central place in the Rimini cultural week. The Fellini Museum celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of “Federico Fellini’s Casanova” with two free days, 20 and 21 October, dedicated to the relationship between cinema, fashion and historical research on costume. The program includes the full screening of the film and a meeting with the director and screenwriter Gianfranco Angelucci, the teacher Veronica Innocenti, the stylist and teacher Giordano Pierlorenzi and Sabrina Zanetti of Cartoon Club. The Cinemino of Palazzo del Fulgor also shows the film on Tuesday 20 October at 4pm.

At the Municipal Film Library, “Anne’s Time” is scheduled on Wednesday 21 October at 9pm, a comedy directed by Lisa Azuelos and starring Sophie Marceau. From 25 October “Dear World Cruel” arrives, the new film by Niccolò Falsetti, while on Thursday 22 October the second edition of “Curatori per un giorno” kicks off, a project that involves young people between 18 and 30 years old in the choice and presentation of films that are significant for their personal journey. The first screening will be “Burning” (2018) by Lee Chang-Dong, presented by Alfredo De Nicola and Leonardo Paganelli.

The Amarcort Film Festival’s Burdlaz Award also continues, dedicated to directors under 40 making their first feature film, and the Cinema Fulgor festivals, including “Cinephile Monday” and “Breakfast and film”. At the Cinema Teatro Tiberio, from 22 October, “Serpenti” by Roberto De Paolis is on the program, with Alessandro Borghi, Pietro Castellitto and Valeria Golino.

On Friday 23 October the Teatro degli Atti hosts the tenth edition of Fattore R – Romagna Economic Forum. At the center of the discussion will be the economic development of Romagna, the proposal for a Super Economic and Urban Area, tourism, innovation, infrastructure and the competitiveness of businesses. Among the announced guests is the economist Lorenzo Bini Smaghi, former member of the Executive Committee of the European Central Bank from 2005 to 2011. Entry is by invitation.

There is also space for books with the autumn events of the Gambalunga Library. The reading groups dedicated to fiction, poetry, philosophy and history continue, while the “Books in these parts” calendar offers a meeting with Oreste Delucca on Friday 23 October at 5.30 pm, in dialogue with Elisa Tosi Brandi on the volume “The wheat and the vine in the Middle Ages”. Tuesday 27 October at 5pm will be the turn of Giampaolo Proni, in conversation with Dalmazio Rossi, and Daniela Muratori, who will converse with Gianfranco Lauretano. The meetings are free to enter.

The “Adolescents and Parents” meetings, promoted by the Center for Families, are restarting for families, children and communities. The first appointment is Wednesday 21 October at 8.45pm at the A. di Duccio secondary school in Miramare, with a meeting dedicated to motivation to study, school conflicts and orientation towards the future. On the same day, at 10.30, the Children’s Library offers “Stories on the carpet”, readings for children from zero to 12 months and families, organized by Nati per Leggere volunteers.

From 19 to 25 October Rimini also hosts the awareness week “Let’s free gaming, free from gambling”, promoted by the GAP Rimini Network. The program includes seminars, training activities in schools, workshops, public initiatives and shows to inform about the risks of pathological gambling. The events include the demonstration “Gambling does not exist!?” in Piazza Tre Martiri on Wednesday 21st October and the show “A Carte Discovered”, scheduled for Saturday 24th October at 9pm at the former Cinema Astoria.

The former Cinema Astoria itself offers a calendar of activities dedicated to well-being, theatre, dance and creativity throughout the week, with workshops, courses and participatory meetings. On Sunday 25 October the program concludes with “Let’s put ourselves in Circle”, dedicated to object libraries and sharing practices, as part of the Astoriateca project.

Among the outdoor and solidarity initiatives, MoveXPink 2026 stands out, scheduled for Saturday 24 October at Bagno Tiki 26. The morning, organized by Team Elen Souza as part of Pink October, includes yoga at 9 am, functional training at 10 am and a meeting on oncological prevention with Elisa Ruggeri, psychologist, psychotherapist and consultant of the IOR. Participation includes a fee of 10 euros intended to raise funds to support the Romagna Oncology Institute.

On Sunday 25 October the historic center comes alive again with Rimini Antiqua, the antiques, modern and vintage market exhibition scheduled from 7.30 to 18.30 between Piazza Tre Martiri, via IV Novembre and Corso d’Augusto. The gourmet breakfast at Caffè del Grifone returns to the Galli Theater, from 9.30 to 12, with entry allowed until 10.30. At the Cinema Fulgor, breakfast is scheduled at 10am, followed at 10.30am by the screening of “The Sky Over Berlin” by Wim Wenders and “The Red Shoes” by Powell and Pressburger.

The calendar also includes the activities of the E’ Scaion Museum in Viserbella, with painting workshops and initiatives dedicated to maritime culture, and the meetings of the Gaiofana District Social Network. On Tuesday 27 October, from 6pm to 8pm, the service of the Family and Community Nurse of the Territorial Health Nodes will be presented at the Civic Centre.

On the same day, at 6.30 pm at the Teatro degli Atti, “Species in updating” will be staged, a show that addresses the relationship between human beings and artificial intelligence with irony and participation, questioning the transformations of daily life and the challenges of digital change. Entry is free, with registration required.
