The head of the Ministry of Culture and Communication (MCC), Dr Emmanuel Menard, carried out an inspection visit to Forts Jacques and Alexandre this Friday, April 24, 2026. He was accompanied by the Minister of Defense, Mario Andrésol, as well as the Acting Director General of the MCC, Stéphanie St Louis. “Reflections are underway with a view to the creation of an Honor Guard and Heritage Protection Brigade for the deployment of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FADH) on these heritage sites formerly military camps,” the ministry said.
