THE FOUR MAIN PROBLEMS OF THE CITIZENS OF KOSOVO
Kosovo today faces four main problems that are directly affecting the lives of its citizens, problems that I addressed in the assembly: poverty, high prices, the state of health and problems in education.
1. Poverty and economic difficulties
Many families in Kosovo can barely afford the monthly expenses. Salaries and pensions are not enough to cover basic needs, while many citizens are forced to give up even the most necessary things. We cannot talk about the development of the country when a large part of the citizens live in economic uncertainty. Simply, it has become a major problem with me month after month.
2. High prices and cost of living
The prices of basic products, energy and services are burdening the family budget more and more every day. Citizens do not need justifications, but concrete policies that make their lives easier. The government must take effective measures to protect purchasing power and create conditions for families to live with dignity.
3. Health and the burden of disease
In Kosovo, the illness of a relative often turns not only into a financial crisis, but into an anxiety for the whole family. The lack of necessary services, long waits and expenses for treatment are forcing many citizens to seek solutions outside the public system. Except for private hospitals, the prices are very high. Health should be a state priority, because citizens deserve dignified treatment and equal access to health care.
4. Education and the future of the new generation
The situation in our schools and the discontent of young people require serious reflection. Education cannot be treated only as a formal matter, but as the foundation on which the future of the country is built. We need better schools, quality teaching, dignified conditions for students and teachers, as well as real opportunities for young people to build their future in Kosovo.
These are not problems that can be solved with words and promises. They require decisions, responsibility and concrete actions.
The Alliance will continue to seek concrete solutions for these four issues, because the interest of the citizens must be above any other political interest.
