These statements were made in the accountability meeting of the activities, works and achievements of Herat municipality of the second quarter of the current financial year.
Herat Governor Sheikh Islam Jar, Herat Mayor Maulvi Hamdullah Nomani, a number of chiefs, commanders, lawyers and heads of development councils of urban areas participated in the meeting.
Municipal officials said that 80 development projects will be implemented in Herat city and related areas by the end of this year.
The mayor of Herat, Maulvi Hamdullah Nomani, said that the purpose of the accountability meeting was to present a clear and transparent report to the citizens about the activities and achievements of the municipality.
Maulvi Abdul Ahad Khairkhah, head of urban governance of Herat Municipality, said that the work rate of many big projects of the municipality has reached about 80 percent and efforts are being made to complete these projects in a certain time and in a standard manner.
