The Court of Courts ofAndorra has acquitted the father accused of abusing his minor son in two episodes, allegedly occurring in the years 2018 and 2021.
The man was accused of a continuing crime of domestic abuse of a minor, for the events that would have taken place during family coexistence. During the trial, the defendant denied abusing his son and defended that the situations described were due to family conflicts.
The Prosecutor’s Office requested a penalty of 18 months of conditional imprisonmentwhile the defense asked for his acquittal. Finally, Corts issued an acquittal, considering that the elements necessary to convict the accused were not proven.
The resolution nullifies the criminal consequences of the accusation and closes the procedure with the father’s acquittal.
