PARAMARIBO — The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has asked Interpol to internationally identify the fugitive suspect Ryan Kenneth Torilal (42) by means of a Red Notice. The request is currently in the assessment phase at Interpol. After approval, Interpol will proceed to placing the Red Notice.
Torilal is wanted in the context of the investigation into the disappearance of Rodney Leysner (52). The Attorney General has previously been investigation and arrest ordered. The 42-year-old is suspected in this case of, among other things, participation in a criminal organization, murder, manslaughter, serious assault with premeditation resulting in death and intentional deprivation of liberty. A Red Notice is a request to law enforcement authorities worldwide to locate and provisionally detain a person pending extradition, surrender or similar legal proceedings.
Rodney’s sister, Nathalie Leysner, died on Thursday interview with de Ware Tijd indicated that the family believes that everything should be done to track down the fugitive suspect. They could not understand why Interpol had not been called in by the judicial authorities in Suriname.
Leysner, who worked in Suriname as Chief Commercial Officer at Rudisa Group of Companies since early 2026, has been missing since August 15. That day he left for the Saramacca district for a work appointment, after which there was no trace of him. His burnt out and flattened Kia Sorento was later found in a swamp area in Saramacca. Leysner himself has still not been found.
Three people were arrested in the criminal investigation, including a Cuban couple. In addition, Torilal, the ex-husband of Warsha Sardjoe, the CEO of Rudisa Group of Companies, is being sought.
