The National Bureau of Meteorology warned, in a bulletin about the weather forecast for Monday, of heavy rain of up to 40 mm in several states.
The bulletin, which carried a level two alert, reported that the rains would affect the states of: Jannat, Tamanrasset, Illizi, Tiaret, El Bayadh Ould Jalal, Menia, Ghardaia, Touggourt, Ouargla, Laghouat, Djelfa and Mughir.
The amount of rain ranges between 20 and 40 mm and starts from midday until two in the morning tomorrow, Tuesday.
The bulletin also carried a first-level warning regarding thunderstorms in the states of: Sidi Bel Abbes, Souk Ahras, Timimoun, In Guezam, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Bejaia, Beni Abbes, M’Sila, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Mila, Oum El Bouaghi, Tebessa, Guelma, In Saleh, Batna, Annaba, Setif, Tlemcen, Constantine, Skikda, Jijel, Khenchela, Biskra, El Tarf, Adrar, Saida, Al-Namaa, Mascara and Bashar.
