Amazon announced Wednesday that it will provide grocery discounts, as much as 20 percent, for its U.S. workers when they shop at company-owned retail outlets. The news comes less than two months after a U.S. Government Accountability Office report found that the number of Amazon workers on food stamps and Medicaid had nearly tripled over a five-year-plus period.
