Police say a long-running rivalry in the T Street area has now claimed the life of twenty-one-year-old Jaheim Sanchez. A gunman opened fire last Wednesday while Sanchez sat on a vehicle, killing him and grazing another man. Investigators believe the deadly attack marked the latest escalation between two rival groups. Police are now searching for two persons of interest as they work to identify everyone involved and determine what triggered the shooting.

“On Wednesday, the ninth day of September 2026, police responded to a shooting at T Street in Belize City. On arrival, they learned that a male person had been shot and taken for treatment. Police went to the KHMH, where the person was seen with several gunshot injuries and was pronounced dead. Information is that the deceased, Jaheim Sanchez, was with another person on a vehicle in the area when a male person came and fired several shots towards his direction, causing his fatal injury. Another male person was grazed; however, he was treated and released. We are currently seeking two persons in regard to this murder investigation. It is an ongoing conflict with persons in that area.”
