SAN MARINO – It started on April 13th with the announcement of birth of the team and will end in the week between November 28th and December 5th with the two friendlies against Liechtenstein and Gibraltar. It certainly cannot be said that 2026 is a year like the others for the members of the Senior women’s national team and for those who promoted its launch. In between the two extremes mentioned, there are many other stages that will have a prominent place in the annals of San Marino football. It certainly belongs to this category this afternoon’s audience with the Most Excellent Captains Regent Alice Mina and Vladimiro Selvaalso in the presence of Secretary of State for Sport Rossano Fabbri. An institutional moment of great importance, in which the highest officials of the State expressed their opinion their congratulations for the birth of this team, and wished the best – not only in terms of competitive results – to the girls of CT Giulia Domenichetti in view of future challenges. In the stupendous Throne Room of Palazzo Valloni (given the temporary unavailability of Palazzo Pubblico), it was the speech of the Honorable Rossano Fabbri that opened the meeting. The Secretary of State thanked the FSGC, on behalf of the San Marino Government, for having made the birth of this team possible, emphasizing the central role played by women’s sport within the cultural panorama of the Republic. In recalling the honors and responsibilities of representing San Marino in international contexts, the Hon. Fabbri mentioned the two friendly matches scheduled at the end of the calendar year, the ones that will score the absolute debut of the Titanes in the official race. These stages, and the previous ones of a 2026 destined to be long remembered, were also mentioned by the President of the FSGC Marco Turawho spoke immediately after Secretary Fabbri. The number one of the Football Federation also remembered commitment to the next UEFA Women’s Nations Leaguebefore highlighting the curriculum of Giulia Domenichetti, the first female coach in the ranks of the FSGC, glory of the Italian football and futsal selections and called to measure herself for the first time with the challenge of coaching a national team, prerequisite – is Tura’s hope – for a rush of enthusiasm to be poured onto her own girls, who are also grappling with a completely new adventure. President Tura’s closing was dedicated to the new Erreà uniforms – revealed yesterday and delivered as a gift to Their Excellencies and to the Secretary of State Fabbri on the sidelines of the Hearing. Distinctive features of the San Marino territory can be recognized in the textures of the Home and Away shirts, above all the Three Towers. An effective way – concluded the President – to remember that San Marino will always be next to these girls – better yet, worn by these girls – during the battles they will face on the field.

The presentation of the senior women’s national football team represents, in fact, a fundamental milestone in the growth path of San Marino sport. Dear athletes, wear the colors of the flag and spread our thousand-year history throughout the world, bringing the determination, pride and dignity of our Community to the playing field. Compete internationally with the colors of the Republic of San Marino it requires a sense of belonging and passion. Our history teaches us that it is not the size that makes the strength of a Nation, but the quality of its values, the compactness and tenacity of its people.
