After the purchase of the SPAR chain from the Balfin group a year ago, the Kosovar businessman Xhevdet Rexhepi has bought another large supermarket chain in Albania. This time it is about the Eco Market supermarket chain, owned by Armand and Agron Duka.
The figure of the transaction has not been made public, but the agreement between the parties has been closed as announced by the Competition Authority, which has also given approval for this transaction.
The chain of “Eco Market” stores includes 16 stores located in Tirana, Durrës and Fier. His shares were held under the company D & D Distribution, whose shares are half-owned by Armand and Agron Duka.

Last year this company realized a turnover of 25 million euros and resulted in a fiscal loss of 300 thousand euros.
This is the second chain of markets that the Kosovar businessman Xhevdet Rexhepi bought in Albania. Last year he bought the second largest supermarket chain in the country, the SPAR chain from the Balfin group for about 44 million euros.
