Two teenagers have been arrested and stolen property recovered following an investigation into a home invasion in Sangre Grande.
Police said the home invasion occurred between 9 p.m. on Wednesday and 6:30 a.m. on Thursday at Immortelle Crescent, North-Eastern Settlement.
On Friday, officers of the Home Invasion Team went to separate locations at Immortelle Crescent and Phillipville, where they found a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, each in the presence of a guardian.
Police said items matching property reported stolen during the home invasion, along with other potentially relevant items, were recovered.
The teenagers were taken into custody and later medically examined before being taken to the Juvenile Booking Centre at the Maracas/St Joseph Police Station.
Police said their guardians accompanied them and that the Children’s Authority and Duty Counsel were contacted.
The recovered property was handed over to the Sangre Grande Criminal Investigations Department for further processing.
Investigations are continuing.
