The court has decided the security measure “house arrest” for the singer Jozefin Marku and his driver, Kristjan Nikollin, arrested in connection with the attack on Eduard Kuçi.
The decision was taken after the session for setting the security measure, while the Prosecutor’s Office requested “prison arrest” for the two arrested.
Investigations into the event continue to clarify the full circumstances of the conflict and the role of each of the persons involved.
As part of the investigation, the Prosecutor’s Office is also verifying the use of State Police symbols, while an expert report has been requested to determine the physical injuries that Eduard Kuçi may have suffered.
Meanwhile, Kuçi has been declared wanted by the police for the charge of not reporting the crime. According to the investigation, he did not initially report the incident to the police, describing it as a conflict caused by blocking the road with a vehicle.
After the verifications carried out by the police, charges were brought against Kuci for not reporting a crime and he was put under police investigation to be interrogated and to provide clarifications on the incident.
In his defense, Jozefin Marku stated after his arrest that he was irritated after Kuçi had insulted him on social networks.
Now, with the court’s decision for “house arrest”, Marku and Nikolli will continue to be under the measure of personal security during the investigations.
